This home is a work in progress, shaped by vision, intention, and the quiet determination to create beauty in the everyday. Each transformation reflects not only a physical change, but a deeper story of learning, craftsmanship, and honoring the legacy of where it all began.
What you’ll find here are side-by-side glimpses into the process—rooms reimagined through thoughtful design, hands-on effort, and a commitment to making every space feel personal, livable, and lasting.
Welcome to the evolution of my home—one project, and one meaningful detail, at a time.
Kitchen Remodel:
Open, Bright and Custom Built
I removed a dividing wall to open up the space, added a structural beam, and collaborated with the Lowe’s design team to create custom cabinetry that blends function and warmth—turning this into the true heart of my home.
Entryway Refresh
This space proves that even simple updates can make a lasting impression. I gave the original light fixture new life with a deep clean, added a fresh coat of paint, and updated the doorknobs for a cleaner, more welcoming feel.
Dining Room View
My dad helped install recessed lighting to brighten the space, while I painted every inch of the floor and trim to give it a fresh start. By mixing old and new pieces, I created a space that feels both cozy and personal—without overspending.
Staircase Revival
One of my favorite transformations—this project combined hands-on DIY with a meaningful local collaboration. After sanding and painting the stairs myself, I partnered with Home Carpet One in Chicago to design a custom runner that truly takes the space to the next level.
Attic Landing
This view is the first glimpse into the attic renovation—the vision that convinced my dad and me that this was the right home. While I had help from professionals to finish much of the space after his passing, there are personal touches throughout, like the reused French doors I stained by hand to add warmth and character. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m excited to continue decorating and shaping it into something special.
Primary Bedroom
Tucked at the back of the attic, this newly built primary bedroom is a blank canvas with endless potential. While the structure is complete, I’m looking forward to layering in texture, decor, and finishing details to make it feel as restful and personal as the vision behind it.
